Don't be fooled. Rush, Hannity, etc. all love the fact that Obama won the election. Having a Dem White House and Dem control of the legislature will give them more fodder for the next 4 years than any other outcome.
The Clinton years were "boom"time for those guys, as will be the Obama years and believe me..they know it!!
And if you dont believe it than you are a bigger kool=aid drinker than their followers.

What you REALLY mean is, Conservatives wanted GWB eight years ago, and they got him. He's been a sorry sack of shit, and most of us figured he would be, but... Limbaugh et al got what they wanted.

This year, Liberals did everything they could to get Obama elected. When he can't deliver all the goodies he has promised, due to the fact the money just doesn't exist, what is all the Hollywood glitterati going to say? What will our dominant liberal TV and newspapers say? Reality Sucks.

There is no respect on talk radio it all started back in the 90's with nonstop bashing of Clinton and continued all through the election and is well underway again. They do not hear the hate they spew and the radical nature of what they say. Said that they do not recognize the evil they do, hypocrites.

I heard conservative talk show host Chris Stigal today say how tough it was today but that "we" should not torn into another Keith Oberman (sp) "we are better than that". Is he kidding, do not these AM talkers hear themselves? Rush, Hannity, Stigal and all the others are who Oberman got his stich from. They have been loud and bitter for years. I guess it all right for them tho', they don't need to be fair and honest but demand it from everyone else. Pathetic, they are narcissists and accuse anyone who does not agree with them of being exactly what they are. Such fools to be fool and not know it it is like being so dumb you don't even know you are dumb. SAD...pray for them l;east they continue to devide the country that they claim to love. Congrats to KMBZ last night on their election coverage. I don't listen all the time, but what I heard last night and over the last few months was very good.

No one in their right mind who's a news junky would listen to RADIO at home when there's 3 or 4 television news channels, all of whom have huge budgets and the prestige to get most anybody on the air they want. Even O'Reilly, who's an asshole as everyone knows, finally managed O'bama and even Hillary.

Former KMBZ afternoon bully Jerry Agar (now doing weekends in Chicago) managed Don Rumsfield when Rummy should have been doing war strategy and not AM radio guest shots! I'm sure Jerry considers these occasional right wing cabinet guest shots as major coups to his career, but no one gives a shit about Agar or any other talk show host, other than that they are gatekeepers to EARS when that support is needed.

it was SOOO funny, listening to Shanin for a few mins tonight (yes I had to commute home again, sigh!) pretending he was nicer to Obama than he was. Shanin's a fuqquing liar and so are all his bigger league colleagues in radio who do right wing because radio won't pay talkers to talk anything ELSE!

Fact is, talk guys can't just CHANGE GEARS in one night, going from hate mongering propagandist on one night, and being patriotic the next. They just can't turn off the poison that fast.

It was nice to hear some level heads get past the screeners. I'm sure the talkers weren't listening. They'll try to blame McCain, rather than acknowledge that America simply doesn't want what the GOP's been selling. Lets face it, if the talkers can't pretend that the conservative movement is still alive, then they have no talking points until the next election.

What the talkers NEED to do is STFU about Obama because the election's over and he's light years ahead of all of them, intellectually. What they need to find out is what America wants that this vote didn't tell them.

And where can talk radio find a place in the dialog. "Loyal opposition"? What the hell is that? Who REALLY wants to shill for rich industrialists?

Let em buy TIME. The conservative movement as defined by Reagan's trickle down theory didn't work and we're $750 BILLION in debt now to prove it.

Talkers should learn but one lesson. The bullshit talking points didn't work on Americans this time. Don't expect them to work this winter or next summer! We're all sooooo tired of being lied to about bullshit Chicago associations, joe plumber portraits of nobody... and white people in the McCain crowd who all look like they live in Mission Hills.

No one gives a shit for women who married lawyers or men who enherited their dad's businesses. Most of us have to make car payments... and we all just hope we get the Obama tax cut rather than having Bush have already spent it on Wall Street high rollers!

Television's really funny about bringing truth. I had no sympathy for women whose hair in Arizona was styled, who had a hundred dollars of designer makeup on, holding their husbands, wearing $250 suits.

The problem is, that guys like Shanin and Agar and the rest are whores to make a middle class income so they'll even shill for the rich to stay on radio's payroll!

Sad, aint it? Many poeple would say, 'what, you want me to say THAT??? fuque YOU!" but not anymore because radio people don't have skills outside of radio. So they have to sell their voices like hookers sell their genitals!

You asked me what 'radio is supposed to do?' As the invaders told the President in some doomsday movie, you're supposed to "DIE". That's all.

Its not our problem what talk radio should do. They threw in with the capitalists and this time they lost. I won't support talk radio until it interjects some morality in what they do.

I wont support them for shilling for capitalists. IN fact, I will do what I can, politically, to pressure democrats to DEE-TOOTH radio talkers.

It'll be interesting to see how long it takes before talkers realize that America isn't buying what they were trying to sell. Will they try to hang on til the next election cycles, or try something else?

shrug. Every talk show artist for himself. As far as Agar is concerned, I'd love to see him DEPORTED back to Candada as an 'undesireable!' Let him try to convert THEM!
