Royals stadium the east side's P&L district?

There's always been an association between drinking and sports, but based on what THIS blogger says, Glass has taken it to a new level, comparing the stadium fixes to the P&L district.

Here's a piece from the radio room worth repeating...unlike most things there:

Went to the game today to see the new stadium. For $250 million dollars they've turned the entire stadium into a money making machine for the royals.

The stadium exterior looked nice but the lines for the rest rooms and the food were ridiculous. I thought they had taken care of this.

Kids can have a good time there but if the heavy drinking that was going on in the outfield concourse continues, no parent will want to take kids to the kids area. There are many new booze areas in the outfield for partying (the party deck is an example) and the crowds that were drinking non stop throughout the game could destroy the family atmosphere.

Glass and company have basically turned royals stadium into a compressed power and light district with more bars and booze outlets than p and l and westport combined.

Hopefully the crowds will control themselves because I see problems when the drinking gets out of control. More booze/more junk food stands/more wine and liquour/more restroom problems/more partying/ more rowdiness/ it can either become a drunken mess or continue to attract family members who don't want a bunch of drunk idiots to contend with.
