Economy: What did Govt Know and WHEN did they know it? And did the TV tell you?

Republicans (and Faux News) ... now out of office, are going back through the tapes to see if they can say "I told you so." They can. Just like they could have said Oliver North knew about Al-Qaeda long before 9-11 but the government and the Republican Senate and House oversight Committees didn't do anything until the day after 9-11. Did you hear McCain, the guy who said the fundamentals of our economy were "basically sound", lamenting about troubling issues? He didn't say SHIT until it hit the fan! And watch below, you won't hear Faux News point that out in their news piece you're about to see either!

Here's the finger pointing the republicans are passing around now... watch it and come back...

Okay FINE. Bad Barney Frank. Didn't see it coming anymore than Pat Roberts saw 9-11 or no WMD hidden in Iraq. But the GOP had plenty of access to CNN, plenty of opportunities to say things were falling apart. But they didn't. The problem is, NONE of them seem to know what the hell they're doing! AND WHEN THE SHIT HITS THE FAN, THEY RUN FOR COVER!

And THIS. Where was the NEWS MEDIA? Just running point-counterpoint soundbites. Did any of THEM attempt any truthwatching? No. They make money just rebroadcasting political propaganda from each side, essentially filling time between commericals. Clinton, Bush, Obama... they don't much care WHO is in power... they are quick to bring on the opposing party to throw rocks. "More press releases and political propaganda after these messages!"

Sorry. The GOP had its chance. It didn't fix it. And it'll be a hard sell to convince ME that giving government money to RICH PEOPLE will save MY job!

And where was our watchdog news media? Covering Michael Jackson and missing white women!

Now this particular picture of CNN's Wolf Blitzer... is this Wolf asking a pithy question, calling government to task? No. He's doing an insignificant human interest story about how one small town regular guy named Joseph Fritzel is going to vote in the primary... somebody that viewers might remotely identify with... but it has no importance. His producers chose not to use that valuable airtime to hold politicians lying asses to the fire!!

Lets face it. Our institutions are letting us down. We need to let them know that we NOTICED. Write your congressmen and also your media outlets and tell them you expect more from them!
