Why Sarah and The Fighter Pilot are toast

ONE only need to read the MIDWEST VOICES blog of comments in the Star. A lot of wisdom is coming forth...showing Palin as not at ALL the package her campaign is selling her as. I think they get it. She's a TV anchor who knows how to read someone else's words. But she's just a puppet for the same people who ran the banking system into the ground. The party that only wants ONE THING. Government which is PERMISSIVE to the greed of Business. Who won't regulate, won't send CEO's to jail, looks the other way so clever men can make a lot of money. On Palin, Racism, and Neocons

This has been just an excellent thread and I'm so glad not to have to make a case against Palin's future in federal government, because you already have. I do have a few thoughts tho.

First...two terms of GWB being sold to us has really pissed off people, even in the midwest where we're pretty susceptible to conservative propaganda. I think enough people see Palin's weaknesses, diva-hood, TeleprompTer performance of other people's speech writing, etc. We have no idea who she is. She's being tutored but she'll not be Shirley Temple. Enough of that.

Now. About racism. I have friends in the South and I'm wired to it. (I"ll provide a link at the bottom to show you what they say.) Southern whites are incredibly racist. It's their culture. Racists are everywhere, mostly rednecks, but dumb and poor tend to stay in the South. They were "Southern Democrats" until JFK, RFK, and LBJ passed the Civil Rights Act of 1963 and the government forced buses, lunch counters and universities to integrate. They jumped to the republicans. They have to vote SOMEPLACE! Republicans, being rich and short on rich voters, took them in, as well as religious nuts. It's they only way they can win. They are working overtime... they can't STAND the idea of pickeniny children playing in the Rose Garden!

Despite that Obama's a real man of vision and judgment, he's a nigra and that just is intolerable to Southern whites and older American bigots who remember blacks staying in their place. Here's the emails I've collected from the southern command:

The gullible religious are also welcomed by Republicans, who let them in with issues like abortion, gay rights, prayer in school. These aren't core Republican issues. Core issues aren't RELIGIOUS at all. See how far Romney got? They're about MONEY. JUST WEALTH. They just need to hookwink enough other voters to put them in office and they've done it.

I think many people who are NOT rich are very disillusioned by the GOP because of Bush and US jobs going overseas by rich corporations.

McCain's wishfully thinking he could find his way into history.. the consummate fighter pilot reliving the Vietnam war. "Fight, Fight, Fight," he pathetically says over and over, appealing to a generation long gone. Smarter republicans didn't even run because everyone knew Iraq made ANY GOP campaign unwinnable.

Palin really WAS a bad Hail Mary pick, a little girl behind a mirror in WAITING--head being filled with the failed neo-con ideas that got us into this economic mess--just like BUSH and McCAIN. No depth. Workers for the wealthy. None of these airheads on the GOP side are visionaries. They're just puppets being handled and groomed but the great Reagan experiment failed and it was greed that killed it. Even Greenspan said he goofed.

About 'redistribution of the wealth'. There's Obama being too honest and McCain jumped him for it. Congressional EARMARKS are ways congressmen get federal tax dollars back to their home states. Bridges to nowhere, federal projects, even aircraft carriers and transport planes the military didn't ask for... those are ALL wealth redistribution.

Government sends money to companies who hire workers to build stuff nobody else will! Its like a tax rebate but not to individuals. Forget the 'socialism' labels. It's just campaign speech bullshxt. It's what the government does. Take your tax money and spend it on somebody else. And Palin got way more than Alaska's share... so critical thinkers need to notice stuff like that!

I think most people are wise to the Republicans. And the ones who aren't, sadly are so gullible they choose their politicians like they choose their pastors.

Don't try to reason with them. They drink the Koolaid and nuthin else. Lets just try to outnumber them, and VOTE! We must VOTE!

Because THEY will.
