Joe the Plumber's not a PLUMBER! Owes taxes.

And Republicans aren't real conservatives, either (sly grin)

From NYT Blog...

One week ago, Joe Wurzelbacher was just another working man living in a modest ranch house in Toledo, Ohio, thinking about how to expand his plumbing business. But when he stopped Senator Barack Obama during a visit to his block this weekend to ask about his taxes, he set himself on a path to being the newest media celebrity — and, like other celebrities, found himself under scrutiny.

Turns out that “Joe the Plumber,” as he became nationally known when Senator John McCain made him a theme at Wednesday night’s third and final presidential debate, may run a plumbing business but he is not a licensed plumber. His full name is Samuel J. Wurzelbacher. And he owes a bit in back taxes.

Can ya smell McCain's desperation?

Just an hour ago, I got one of those automated phone attack ads from someone saying at the end, his call was paid for by McCain-Palin (the real campaign). Course he tallked fast but he repeated (and said stronger) what McCain said in the debate that "Obama pals around with terrorists..." citing Ayers. Which Obama handled well but their phone call automation bank's still being repeated, just not on television. Now it's just over the phone. Sorry, I think that's pretty shitty politics!

Now at the last debate, McCain said "questions need to be answered." (about Ayers) And Obama answered them... that this Ayers guy isn't a major influence in Obama's life--he was just a crazy radical as a kid and isn't that important a guy in Illinois. And yeah, he's grown up some.

But the McCain-Palin paid phone ad wasn't asking QUESTIONS. It was making a direct link of Obama to a terrorist to scare me to vote for McCain! Guilt by tricky word associations! Frankly, I resent that!

Remember Tricky Dicky? That really stunk! I'm not a dumb guy. And how the GOP hounded Bill Clinton? Distracting this government for more than a year, while men were learning how to fly jetliners into skyscrapers? Yeah, I noticed.

This, boys and girls, is how the Republicans hope to steal yet another election. To them, its clear to me. Their view is that ENDS JUSTIFY MEANS!

I don't agree with that political zealotry. This is what Hitler did. It makes me wary. If they do it, then we really don't have a democracy, do we?

Republicans today:
"Ends justify means."

RADIOMAN CONCLUDED: Republicans think it doesn't matter what they DO to get a win, because it's so important that they DO win. It's just how they operate. Whether it's about torturing terrorists or lying to voters to get them to vote the 'right way'... the patriotic way.

Go figure. This is primarily why I chose the liberal party for the last thirty years. I've worked all my life and I think everyone should. And I don't like big government. I like a safety net for citizens who fall through the cracks, but not an excuse to let lazy people escape pulling their own weight.

What? "It's okay to trick the voters to vote for our guy, because we're better than the other guy."

That is what "ENDS justify MEANS" actually is! Cheating is okay because we're better! Except what should we think about cheaters? Think about this now.

So I should be a Republican because I'm a government conservative but a social liberal. Or vote for the ones who believe in fairness?

After reading the Nixon transcripts of his taped White House conversations back in about 1973, and then seen them hound Clinton during his second term to impeach him on a technicality, I've finally realized that Republican officials STARTING at the top, just aren't the kind of people I want to govern my country. It's like they had no respect for a fair democratic selection by the people to decide who will run the country!

Are you going to vote for McCain so he can reward his dirty trickster campaign strategists with cushy White House jobs? It's just GWB redeux!

We do need a real change... and the GOP needs to sit in the corner for awhile to rediscover itself and clean out the Karl Rove connivers! The GOP pretends to support morality. Well they need to insist on it from the top down. It's clear they're not. It's clear Obama's taking a higher road and a lot of independents sense he's not really just another politician!

That's why I think OBAMA will win this time. But this is important too. Vote for your Democrat Senator and US Representative. The incumbent Republican might win if he's very popular, like Pat Roberts in Kansas. --> But every vote for the Democrat will teach him that he doesn't have a lifetime job, just for voting along party lines!
