The Torture case reminescent of Watergate... can the Talkers Ignore It?

After watching MSNBC's Rachel Maddow explain what's up with the most recent torture revelations, some just 24 hours old, it's starting to sound very much like the discovery of the infamous White House Tapes that brought down Richard Nixon.

Me thinks even the talk show hosts shilling for the T-party may not be able to save their former government... or take the stink from it off of the new G.O. Pee. Cheney's making his case... where else? On Friendly FauxNews with, who else? Hard-hitting Hannity Helping His Hero!

This is just starting to unfold...as if Woodward and Bernstein are just getting to the good stuff about the Nixon White House. The only problem is that this isn't about "WHAT did the President know and WHEN did he know it?" Signs I saw are pointing to it having STARTED with Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld--and for the purpose of finding a link between 9-11 and Saddam. And getting the CIA to torture people to get confessions... not to protect the country but to give Bush a smoking gun from Iraq that didn't exist. Rice too? But all of the White House lawyers were just following orders, like Nixons! We older ones remember they went to jail and came out to become authors after getting prison religion.

This, boys and girls, is what war crimes are made of. This may make Monica Lewinsky's affair with Clinton like a parking ticket. Wonder if Ken Starr's available to be a special prosecutor? No? Lucky for the country, Bush's Last Day was 01-20-09.

What if Obama can't keep a lid on it like Ford did with Nixon? Will Rush be nice to Obama for trying NOT to prosecute the former administration's honchos? Not likely.

And can we count on Shanin and Parks on al-BZ-erra to not mention this left wing stuff until maybe... until the Big Three have to report to prison?
